Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a vibrant learning community near New Orleans, LA. This contract role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SLP or a strong Clinical Fellow, covering a maternity leave from September 14th through the end of November. With a full-time weekly schedule (37.5 hours) and a manageable caseload at the elementary level, you’ll work on-site with dedicated educators to help students achieve their full communicative potential.
Qualifications
- Active SLP licensure for Louisiana (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required; strong CF candidates will be considered
- Experience with school-aged children, with the ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50-60 elementary students
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite exclusively
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy to students with a range of communication needs
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to a positive school environment
